Buckwheat is one of Kimmera Madison of Tres Beau's new designs, just in time for summer.
I love the colours in this one, that deep turquoise is so versatile, in that it seems equally appropriate for winter and summer. The set comes with skirt options of long or short. Both skirts are ruffled. The longer version is three layers of longer, less pulled ruffles that give that nice peasant dress feel while the short version has tighter ruffles that nest on top of one another and give a great kicky flair to a fun dress to go dancing in, or just throw on with a great pair of strappy heels for an afternoon of shopping.
The bodice is snug and is edged with more fantastic ruffles that race across the top and repeat in the off shoulder sleeves giving a "bloom effect" to the head and shoulders. It is simply gorgeous and very feminine and pretty.
Amidst all the ruffles and softness, Kimmera has added a beautifully tooled leather corset that has splashes of the same deep turquoise repeated in the worked piece. The corset is tied in the front, with silver rounded rectangle eyelets that are a nice detail and so typical of the attention and thought Kimmera puts into her designs. The tied corset leaves the lines in the back nice and clean.
This dress is currently available in store and retails for $600L.
