I love that they incorporate dancing of each decade to kind of cover the social dysfunction/frustration of that generation.
So the waltz was the woman following the man around the floor in a prescribed box .. perfect.
The Latin dances were about power and seduction.
Square dancing was clapping and slapping and hollering but still following the prescribed rules as dictated by someone else ...
And then the 70's hit and it was all kind of whatever, even falling around the floor, mainly because you had a hard time standing up with all the drugs and holding on to someone else would have limited your opportunities.
