Dressing Gowns.

This is the kind of dressing gown that at least makes sense, I mean you are naked, you are feeling good, you slide something over you that barely skims you, feels weightless, hides nothing, tres elegant, blah blah blah ....

Ya, had not clue where to buy those or even if they made them in sizes for 8 year olds which was when I started noticing movie stars had way nicer clothes than I did.

I have been bitter about that ever since.

Instead we were given quilted monstrocities, usually in pastels, that looked like someone had managed to gather a quilt, put a collar and buttons on it, and you got to wear that over your sturdy pajamas or nightgown that was guaranteed to make everyone go to sleep. It was kind of an indoctrination probably put out by Planned Parenthood to convince all women, as little girls, that they should ignore their bodies, be ashamed of it, and never look at in the broad daylight, or through anything thinner than a quilted blanket ... with lace though ... have to be pretty ...

Best Birth Control ever.

Men wanted to snuggle up with their women, forget anything else ... they were already exhausted and having to sort through the linen closet worth of things the wife was wearing ... no way!

I still have to put my hands over my eyes when some of those women come out in their quilted housecoats.

Some memories are just to painful to relive ...
